Búzios is a peninsula, which is why almost everyone who comes here ends up on the water. Its beaches sit on both sides of a narrow strip of land, and a boat is the only way to see most of them in a single day — including the small coves that have no road access at all.
We work with motorboats, sailboats and larger boats in Búzios, most of them private charters of four to eight hours with a skipper included. Prices are in Brazilian reais (BRL), and payment terms are confirmed with each quote.

The standard outing is a private charter of four to eight hours that strings together three or four beaches, with time anchored at each for swimming and snorkelling. The water on the sheltered side of the peninsula is unusually clear and calm, and the beaches are close together, so a half-day already covers a lot of ground.
Búzios is small enough that the route is flexible. Tell the skipper whether you want busy beaches with kiosks or quiet coves, and the day is planned around that, adjusted for wind and sea conditions.
Possible boarding points include the pier area at Praia da Armação, near the centre of town, and the marinas around Manguinhos on the bay side of the peninsula. Some boats listed here also run charters toward Arraial do Cabo and Cabo Frio. We confirm the exact departure point before your charter.
Itineraries often include Azeda and Azedinha, two small connected coves with calm, clear water, and João Fernandes and João Fernandinho, the beaches most associated with snorkelling in Búzios. Tartaruga is another frequent stop, along with Ferradura, a horseshoe-shaped bay that stays flat almost all year, and Ossos, the old fishing harbour at the town end of the peninsula.
Further out, charters sometimes pass Ilha Feia, Ilha Branca and Ilha Rasa, the rocky islands offshore that are popular with divers. Longer trips can continue down the coast toward Arraial do Cabo, known for its turquoise water and the Gruta Azul. Some boats offer overnight and multi-day charters, on request.
Navegue Temporada is a Brazilian boat rental platform, and we arrange the charter directly with you over WhatsApp or email. Tell us the date, how many guests are coming and what you’d like from the day, and we’ll suggest the boats that fit — a compact motorboat for a short beach-hopping trip, a sailboat for a slower day, or something larger with a toilet and shade for a full afternoon on board. Fuel, catering and extra hours are confirmed per boat, and some piers charge a small boarding fee paid locally.
Búzios sits about two and a half hours east of Rio, so many guests pair it with a day on the water in the city — see boat rental in Rio de Janeiro — or with boat rental in Arraial do Cabo just down the coast. For island scenery and calmer bays, there’s also boat rental in Angra dos Reis. Chartering in Europe? Our sister company Portugal Boat covers Lisbon and the Algarve.
